trunc
(i=False)[source]¶ Return the truncated values of the data array.
The truncated value of the number,
x
, is the nearest integer which is closer to zero thanx
is. In short, the fractional part of the signed numberx
is discarded.New in version 1.0.
Parameters: - i : bool, optional
If True then update the data array in place. By default a new data array is created.
Returns: out: cf.Data
Examples: >>> print d.array [-1.9 -1.5 -1.1 -1. 0. 1. 1.1 1.5 1.9] >>> print d.trunc().array [-1. -1. -1. -1. 0. 1. 1. 1. 1.]
