cf.FieldList.ceil

FieldList.ceil(i=False)

For each field, the ceiling of the data array.

The ceiling of the scalar x is the smallest integer i, such that i >= x.

New in version 1.0.

Examples 1:

Create a new field list with the ceiling of the data:

>>> g = f.ceil()

Parameters:

i: bool, optional

If True then update the field list in place. By default a new field list is created. In either case, a field list is returned.

Returns:

out

: cf.FieldList

For each field, the field list with the ceiling of data array values.

Examples 2:

>>> print f.array
[-1.9 -1.5 -1.1 -1.   0.   1.   1.1  1.5  1.9]
>>> print f.ceil().array
[-1. -1. -1. -1.  0.  1.  2.  2.  2.]
>>> print f.array
[-1.9 -1.5 -1.1 -1.   0.   1.   1.1  1.5  1.9]
>>> print f.ceil(i=True).array
